Established by Mr Chuen, Ban Chuen Pawnshop was built on the bedrock of traditional Chinese business ethics: Trustworthiness (信 – Xìn) and Benevolence (仁 – Rén) .

Fair Valuation. We use both the traditional tools of the trade (the touchstone and the loupe) and modern technology (XRF Spectrometry) to ensure that when we quote you a price for a pawn or a sale, it is backed by science and the current gold spot price.

With eyes trained over 34 years of handling yellow gold, white gold, and intricate jadeite carvings, our master valuer can spot a forgery from across the counter. He is the keeper of the flame, ensuring the old ways of integrity are never lost.

The Evaluation Process
There is no mystery to how we arrive at our numbers. We invite you to watch. The entire evaluation takes only a few minutes.

You place your item on our black velvet tray. We examine hallmarks, craftsmanship, and condition.
step 2: Test & Weigh
We confirm purity using XRF technology and traditional methods. We then weigh the item on a calibrated scale in front of you. Results in Tael (兩) and Grams.
Step 3: Calculation
We show you the live international gold spot price. We explain the service fee for a Pawn (Pledge) versus the outright Sale price. No hidden fees.
step 4: Decision
You choose the path that fits your needs. Pawn: Receive cash and a ticket. Return later to reclaim your item. Sell: Immediate payment. Transaction closed.
